Organisms in an ecosystem, can be affected by two main sets of factors.
The first one is called Abiotic factors. This is due to the non-living surroundings, and can also be known as physical factors. These can include anything from water, air quality, temperature, wind, soil type, waves etc.
The second one is called Biotic factors. This is due to the actions of the living organisms in an ecosystem. Examples include anything from predators such as sharks, parasites, competitors, collaborators etc.
